L&T Vyoma CHN 1 is a data center project in Sriperumbudur, India, operated by Larsen & Toubro Vyoma. It is operational. It is planned for 30 MW of IT load. The operator reports 30 MW running.
Latest change on record: entered the record as operational on 31 May 2025. Record last checked against its sources on 21 October 2026.
This project is built or running, so every gate counts as passed.
Build odds is ArusGrid's reading of the public record, not a forecast, a rating or advice. It counts the gates this project has passed in public sources. Private progress does not show, a passed gate can be undone, and projects that pass every gate still stop. The method has not yet been tested against outcomes. How it works.
How India approves, powers and taxes data centers is on Data center rules in India.
Chennai holds 16 active projects with 819 MW of planned IT load between them, and L&T Vyoma CHN 1 ranks 14th by planned capacity. Of those, 10 are operational, 1 is operational and expanding, 2 are under construction, 2 are at the land and permitting stage and 1 is announced only. Published colocation vacancy in Chennai was 24.2% as of June 2025. Vacancy excludes hyperscaler self-build.
L&T Vyoma has 2 others in India tracked by ArusGrid, including L&T Vyoma Dholera and L&T Vyoma Mahape. Named funding comes from Larsen & Toubro on the equity side. Named users of the compute are Together AI and E2E Networks (confirmed).
The stage was recorded as operational on 31 May 2025. Power comes from L&T (captive rooftop solar) through onsite solar (reported, unconfirmed). Cooling uses hybrid air and liquid cooling.
The US export control position for advanced AI chips in India, as of 27 September 2026, is recorded as “No US destination-based licence requirement as enforced”. ArusGrid holds 7 public sources for this project, the latest dated 12 May 2026, and last checked the record on 21 October 2026.
Running capacity. The site is operational or expanding. The rules are fixed and published on the Methodology page.
No public signal either way.
This country carries no US destination-based licence requirement for advanced AI chips as the rules are enforced today. Access is a commercial matter between the project and its vendors. Criteria are published on the Methodology page.

250 MW · 10,000 Nvidia B300 GPUs, 250MW phase 1, hosted by LTN Compute at Vyoma's Chennai campus · as of 2026-08-13
L&T's own exchange-linked release says it secured a mega order under a strategic partnership with Together AI and that LTN Compute will host the AI factory at Vyoma's Chennai data centre campus. CHN1 Sriperumbudur is the only Vyoma Chennai site in ArusGrid; the 250MW phase 1 exceeds CHN1's recorded 30MW, so this is a campus expansion at the same site or a new building ArusGrid does not yet carry. The MW shown is the order's stated phase 1 rather than CHN1's current size.

No figure has been announced. This range is 30 MW of planned IT load times a published benchmark of US$6.64 per watt for Mumbai, plus or minus 15 percent. It covers the building and its mechanical and electrical plant. It excludes land, grid works, servers and fees.
Benchmark: Turner & Townsend Data Centre Construction Cost Index 2025, as reported by Data Storage Asia. An estimate is never added to any total on the site.
ArusGrid estimate, grade C. Published band for this country. Priced on the wholesale band. No usable capex for this site. Electricity unstated in the band. An estimate, never a quote, computed by fixed rules published on the Colo prices page and never counted in any total.
