Yotta NM1 is a data center project in Panvel, India, operated by Yotta Data Services. It is operational. It is planned for 52 MW of IT load.
Latest change on record: entered the record as operational on 7 July 2020. Record last checked against its sources on 22 October 2026.
This project is built or running, so every gate counts as passed.
Build odds is ArusGrid's reading of the public record, not a forecast, a rating or advice. It counts the gates this project has passed in public sources. Private progress does not show, a passed gate can be undone, and projects that pass every gate still stop. The method has not yet been tested against outcomes. How it works.
How India approves, powers and taxes data centers is on Data center rules in India.
Mumbai metro holds 32 active projects with 2,694 MW of planned IT load between them, and Yotta NM1 ranks 17th by planned capacity. Of those, 4 are operational, 5 are operational and expanding, 11 are under construction, 6 are at the land and permitting stage and 6 are announced only. Published colocation vacancy in Mumbai metro was 6.6% as of June 2025. Vacancy excludes hyperscaler self-build.
Yotta has 4 others in India tracked by ArusGrid, including Yotta D4, Yotta NM2 and Yotta D2. It sits on the Yotta Datacenter Park, Hiranandani Fortune City. Named funding comes from Hiranandani Group on the equity side. Named users of the compute are IndiaAI Mission and Sarvam AI (reported, unconfirmed).
The stage was recorded as operational on 7 July 2020. Power comes from Tata Power through a dedicated substation at 110 kV.
The US export control position for advanced AI chips in India, as of 27 September 2026, is recorded as “No US destination-based licence requirement as enforced”. ArusGrid holds 7 public sources for this project, the latest dated 27 September 2026, and last checked the record on 22 October 2026.

Yotta's Shakti Cloud GPU platform is hosted in NM1 (Yotta and Nvidia launch, 2025 to 05 to 20) and the operator sells H100 SXM capacity from it. The 20,736 liquid-cooled B300 supercluster (release 2026 to 02 to 18) is due live by August 2026, sited at Greater Noida D2 and 'supported by' the Navi Mumbai campus, so it is a plan and does not by itself confirm liquid cooling at NM1.
This country carries no US destination-based licence requirement for advanced AI chips as the rules are enforced today. Access is a commercial matter between the project and its vendors. Criteria are published on the Methodology page.

8,192 H100 and 1,024 L40S offered under the first IndiaAI tender; Shakti Cloud H100 cluster sits at NM1 · as of 2025-02-17
Yotta said it would deploy 9,216 GPUs for the IndiaAI Mission via Shakti Cloud (no site named); Yotta's March 2024 release places the first H100 consignment at NM1 and Nvidia's blog lists Navi Mumbai and Greater Noida as the Yotta sites. Site tie is by inference from where the H100 cluster lives.

Sovereign LLM training on Shakti Cloud via Nvidia DGX Cloud Lepton, first customer · as of 2025-05-19
Yotta and Nvidia's joint release says Shakti Cloud on DGX Cloud Lepton runs from NM1 Navi Mumbai and D1 Greater Noida and quotes Sarvam's co-founder saying Sarvam will be the first to access it to train India's sovereign LLM. Entered against NM1 because Yotta's H100 cluster is at NM1; D1 is the secondary site.

No figure has been announced. This range is 52 MW of planned IT load times a published benchmark of US$6.64 per watt for Mumbai, plus or minus 15 percent, with 10 percent more at the top for liquid cooling because the project is AI-positioned. It covers the building and its mechanical and electrical plant. It excludes land, grid works, servers and fees.
Benchmark: Turner & Townsend Data Centre Construction Cost Index 2025, as reported by Data Storage Asia. An estimate is never added to any total on the site.
Platform capital spans several sites. It is never added to this project's own figure.
ArusGrid estimate, grade C. Published band for this country. Priced on the hyperscale band, which already reflects anchor deals. No usable capex for this site. Electricity unstated in the band. An estimate, never a quote, computed by fixed rules published on the Colo prices page and never counted in any total.
