Next gate to watch: Power arranged.

Your call. Will it be built?

Build odds is ArusGrid's reading of the public record, not a forecast, a rating or advice. It counts the gates this project has passed in public sources. Private progress does not show, a passed gate can be undone, and projects that pass every gate still stop. The method has not yet been tested against outcomes. How it works.

How Malaysia approves, powers and taxes data centers is on Data center rules in Malaysia.

Where it sits

Klang Valley holds 33 active projects with 1,911 MW of planned IT load between them, and Google (Pearl Computing) Puncak Alam has no published figure so it sits outside that ranking. Of those, 5 are operational, 5 are operational and expanding, 10 are under construction, 7 are at the land and permitting stage and 6 are announced only. No third party publishes a colocation vacancy rate for Klang Valley, and ArusGrid does not estimate one.

Google has 4 others in Malaysia and 4 projects elsewhere in the dataset tracked by ArusGrid, including Google (Pearl Computing) Elmina Data Centre & Cloud Region, Google (Pearl Computing) Port Dickson and Google (reported) Serendah Campus. It sits on the Eco Business Park V. Named funding comes from EcoWorld (Quantum Alpha). The named user of the compute is Google (Pearl Computing Malaysia Sdn Bhd) (confirmed).

The stage was recorded as under construction on 15 May 2026. The money on record is RM1,880m (about US$420m) as of January 2026, debt raised, which ArusGrid keeps out of capital totals.

Grid power for a large industrial user in Malaysia costs about US$0.14 per kWh as of July 2025, the country figure ArusGrid applies where a site has no published rate. The US export control position for advanced AI chips in Malaysia, as of 27 September 2026, is recorded as “No US destination-based licence requirement as enforced”. ArusGrid holds 3 public sources for this project, the latest dated 13 February 2026, and last checked the record on 19 October 2026.
