Latest change on record: entered the record as under construction on 13 June 2024. Record last checked against its sources on 22 October 2026.
Next gate to watch: Builder appointed.
Build odds is ArusGrid's reading of the public record, not a forecast, a rating or advice. It counts the gates this project has passed in public sources. Private progress does not show, a passed gate can be undone, and projects that pass every gate still stop. The method has not yet been tested against outcomes. How it works.
How Indonesia approves, powers and taxes data centers is on Data center rules in Indonesia.
Batam and Bintan holds 12 active projects with 835 MW of planned IT load between them, and NeutraDC Nxera Batam BTM-1 ranks 6th by planned capacity. Of those, 2 are operational, 4 are under construction, 2 are at the land and permitting stage and 4 are announced only. No third party publishes a colocation vacancy rate for Batam and Bintan, and ArusGrid does not estimate one.
NeutraDC (Telkom) has 1 other in Indonesia tracked by ArusGrid, including NeutraDC Hyperscale DC Cikarang (HDC Cikarang). It sits on the Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate campus. Named funding comes from Telkom Indonesia, Singtel and Medco Power. The named user of the compute is Gorilla Technology (confirmed).
The stage was recorded as under construction on 13 June 2024. The money on record is IDR 1.4tn (about US$86m) as of October 2025, the announced investment. Power comes from PLN Batam through grid supply (reported, unconfirmed).

Construction or financing is evidenced, or several independent signals agree. The rules are fixed and published on the Methodology page.
Reaching this stage requires a dated construction source, which corroborates the project on its own.
Gorilla Technology signed a US$2.5bn five-year GPUaaS compute contract (Jun 2026) to deploy Nvidia B300 GPU servers at this facility, phase 1 of 1,000 B300 servers targeted Sep 2026. Actual GPU deployment contracted.
This country carries no US destination-based licence requirement for advanced AI chips as the rules are enforced today. Access is a commercial matter between the project and its vendors. Criteria are published on the Methodology page.
